Human body has such an amazing self-healing power.
Cut on the skin, injury, and diseases….all eventually start to heal.
We call it immune system.
Everyday, millions of old cells are dying, and being replaced by the new ones.
We call it metabolism.
It’s said that in 7 to 10 years, the entire body cells, trillion of cells are replaced with new ones.
technically, not just figuratively, what we are today is different from what we were yesterday.
and what we will be tomorrow, next week, next month, next year is different.
and in 7 to 10 years, we will be transformed into a new person!
when you think about it, isn’t this just amazing?
each and every day, or every minute, every second, some transformation is happening inside our body.
so when I came across this article, it was no surprise,
fascinating, yet no surprise.
even our brain is experiencing this amazing transformation.

latest studies confirmed, again, that more red meat consumption increases the risk of heart diseases and cancers, and death rate.
what surprises me is that now this news is covered by most of the major massmedia.
usually, this kind of study won’t be out due to a huge pressure from industries.
anyway, here is one of them. today’s NY Times.

this has been another misteries to me in this culture.
why on earth some people even think that “diet coke” is healthy?
“because it’s lower in calories!”
“not using sugar”
right. sure.
to me, it’s soda no matter what.
one of the unhealthiest things you can take into your body.
loads of artificial sweeteners, chemicals, unknown substances, etc etc.
anyhow, latest study has supported my concern.
here is an article in NY times.

most of the religions, especially the ones in Asia, have some strict dietary principle, which is usually whole, vegan diet.
People intuitively knew that gut affects brain, therefore the thought, emotion, as well as spirituality.
When the gut is “messed up” with poor foods, the head cannot be clear.
animal foods, refined foods, as well as processed food and chemicals muddies and poisens the blood, thus the brain.
So, in order to be able to have a clear thoguht, to make the rigt decisions, and to recieve the energy from the universe, the gut has to be clean and clear.
That’s why most of the spiritual institutes developed these dietary principle.
You cannot acheive an enlightenment while eating big mac, french fries and coke….
